On July 20, We learned from CNOOC Tianjin Branch that Chinese first offshore heavy oil thermal recovery oilfield——Nanpu 35-2 Oilfield, implemented the superheated steam stimulation technology in 6 adjustment wells.The daily crude oil production reaches 220 tons, marking the further improvement of the offshore heavy oil development technology system.

Nanpu 35-2 Oilfield is located in the central Bohai Sea. Heavy oil accounts for more than 90% of the proven oil geological reserves. Heavy oil has high viscosity, so conventional production method has low efficient and output.In order to solve this problem,people try to increase the fluidity of crude oil by artificially heating it.

As Chinese first offshore heavy oil thermal recovery oilfield, Nanpu 35-2 Oilfield is committed to tackling thermal recovery technology. Aiming at the problems of heat loss, low recovery efficiency and low economic benefits of traditional processes, Nanpu 35-2 Oilfield, relying on high-level steam injection technology, fully launched the first batch of superheated steam stimulation adjustment well projects in January 2023. The project is based on the principle of "fast injection and fast recovery", and through the cross-operation of steam stimulation and steam flooding "two wells with the same injection", it has achieved a good effect of over-production of 40 tons/day.
